As a follow-up to the first movement of the Schubert D784 sonata the other day, which you can see here, I have now subtitled the 2nd and 3rd movements.

The second movement is pretty straightforward, because it only has one theme, which Schubert elaborates on.  The third movement is not quite sonata form (well, I didn’t think it was) but mainly consists of an alternation between fury and gentleness – because of that, there’s a fair bit of suspense involved as to which mood will win over the day and whether the piece will end brightly or darkly.

I’ll let you watch for yourself.
